Sales Portal Creation – Contract Opportunity from Pinpoint

INTRODUCTION

Pinpoint is a marketplace management agency. We are the only comprehensive marketplace management company in the UK. As a comprehensive marketplace agency we work with a handful of clients and manage their online presence on sites such as eBay and Amazon. In management terms we manage their full presence – from listing goods, to liaising with customers and couriers and dealing with refunds and customer disputes.

OPPORTUNITY

To continue the expansion of our business we are looking to automate a large portion of our workflows which would significantly cut our manual work time. A sales management portal would provide a platform where all stakeholders could gain access to the relevant information in real time and where our employees could create customer support ticketing workflows. This portal shall be maintained by Pinpoint and/or its representatives. Necessary software and licenses are to be provided to maintain the website. All licenses, if any, will be procured in the name of Pinpoint.

PROJECT SPECIFICATION

Our sales portal will be a website centred sales management system integrated with our marketplaces. Some of the features of the portal are listed below. It will primarily be a closed network that will facilitate the access of live sales data for the relevant stakeholders. The Portal will have 3 main aspects to it. It will/be

  • A bespoke and professional website portal that will be integrated with our online marketplaces allowing our clients to gain view of live orders and download sales reports all from one portal removing the need for us to send over data manually or for our partners to login to each marketplace individually
  • Integrated with our courier partner couriers allowing for automated uploads of shipping labels and additional customer delivery details
  • Allow the creation of ticketing system which will allow our employees to delegate tasks and respond to customer enquiries all from one portal

Additional Specification details

  • Portal should have master admin access for Pinpoint only allowing us to reset user passwords and view log of activities
  • Portal should have UIM (user identity management facility)
  • Pinpoint will own the domain name registration of the sales portal
  • Portal should be designed in a way that it will permit stakeholders to view and download relevant and live data
  • Website should allow the users to upload, access and navigate the information easily. Stakeholders should have ability to create and save custom reports, easily share reports with others users and export reports to Excel
  • It should contain in site archive functions, filter options to maximise the search.
  • Portal must be compatible with all currently and available browsers and no plugins are to be required as default to access the portal
  • It should support users to print or email pages.
  • Broad design of the portal to be generic type and different types of categories of contents/user to be maintained by Web-admin with the facility of addition, deletion, edit, restoring and hide from public view

Huddersfield Business Growth Programme

Huddersfield Business School would like to procure and contract with an organisation to specifically deliver the third component of the programme; to deliver a programme of 12-hour business support and advice to 25 growing businesses within the Kirklees Local Authority area/Leeds City Region as part of the Leeds City Region Ad: Venture programme.

The successful organisation will be responsible for developing and delivering a programme of 1-2-1 coaching/mentoring and support to eligible participants on the programme.

As a minimum requirement the programme will have to deliver 12 hours of business strategy advice to each participant on the programme (the programme runs in three-month blocks with 5-7 SMEs per cohort over 4 cohorts).

The business strategy advice should build on the content of the masterclass activity and will focus on providing business relevant information and specific recommendations to support the development and implementation of a strategic framework for their business.

This support will likely be delivered on business premises, primarily within the Kirklees Local Authority Area but may require travel within the Leeds City Region. Support will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the business and resourced within the budget and hours available.

Relevant topics may include business planning, implementation, leadership, market intelligence or managing change. As each business will have different needs, the support provided is may include one or a mix of, the examples below:

  • A review of their current business plan and financial forecasts
  • A series of one to one meetings and follow up notes that provide advice and recommendations to formulate and implement an improved business strategy and growth plan.
  • Support for the identification of further business support to assist growth ambitions.

The successful organisation will be responsible for:

  • Making initial contact with the allocated businesses within 3 working days on confirmation they are eligible and have been accepted onto the programme.
  • Arranging a first meeting to agree clear delivery plan detailing actions, timelines and roles and responsibilities
  • Delivering against this plan on time and within budget
  • Complying with, and applying where required, ERDF funding rules and requisite paperwork. This includes attendance at an introductory meeting with Huddersfield Business School project staff, using appropriate funder logos on documentation and completing and signing required ERDF forms with the business as part of the evidencing and claims process (examples include completing meeting record forms, evaluation forms and output forms with pen signatures).
  • Submitting an invoice per business at the end of the 12-hour assist detailing the work carried out with that business and costs incurred.

The Ad: Venture Enterprise Growth Programme is an £18m Business Support project which offers wrap around support to help new and young businesses in their first three years of operation. To date the programme has worked with over 2700 individuals & businesses.

The project is a partnership between Leeds City Region local authorities, Chambers of Commerce, Universities, the Voluntary Sector and West Yorkshire Combined Authority and is partly funded by the European Union* until 2022.

Having secured a second round of funding we are currently seeking to strengthen our programme delivery team by recruiting a Compliance Manager. This is a new post, and will play an important role in helping us deliver a successful second phase of the Ad: Venture programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contract compliance across the Ad: Venture programme, ensuring that the project meets a range of contractual obligations, while fulfilling its overall objective of supporting new and young businesses to grow and prosper.

The positon represents an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with; an interest in helping businesses in the Leeds city region grow; experience in a project or programme management role and an understanding of how to work with a diverse partnership to deliver systems and processes that work better. You should also have a good working knowledge of ERDF Regulation as they apply to business support projects.

We are looking for an individual who is a good team player but also has the confidence and ability to work and lead on their own initiative – often working to tight deadlines, ideally with some experience of working with or developing information management systems.

The post is offered on a fixed term basis for an initial period of up to 24 months – with the potential for extension. The post holder will be based in Leeds City Centre but with regular travel to Ad: Venture partners across the Leeds City Region.

City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC) wishes to continue the success of the Northern MAX accelerator programme by launching Northern MAX 3 in early 2020, the third programme in as many years.  Northern MAX is an intensive business support programme delivered in Bradford to serve digital technology start-up businesses based in the Leeds City Region.

As such, CBMDC is inviting submissions from Service Providers to deliver an accelerator programme with a digital technology sector focus to a third cohort.

Northern MAX 3 will form part of the Leeds City Region European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Ad:Venture programme which will deliver a programme of activity to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium sized enterprises until March 2022.

CBMDC is a partner in the Leeds City Council led Ad:Venture consortium of Local Authorities, Chambers of Commerce, the Princes Trust and the Universities within the Leeds City Region.  The Ad:Venture programme targets pre start-ups and businesses to 3 years trading, identified as having high growth potential, with the propensity to create jobs, trading predominantly business to business and is available to most business sectors. The package of support includes; expert mentoring, events and workshops, finance brokerage, grants, business incubator space, one to one consultancy projects and peer to peer learning.

The successful bidder will work closely with the CBMDC Digital Enterprise Advisor to support the delivery of a successful Northern MAX 3 accelerator programme.  The Digital Enterprise Advisor will provide ongoing support to businesses following the completion of the Northern MAX 3 programme. The successful bidder will also be expected to liaise with the Ad:Venture core programme team based in Leeds regarding marketing, ERDF compliance and documentation.

The Accelerator Programme will be 50% funded by ERDF and 50% funded by CBMDC.  The contract will be between CBMDC and the successful bidder.

The programme offers a range of support including, grants, one to one advice and workshops, along with specialist support from our partners. We are recruiting Business Advisers to join our team, to work across the Leeds City Region Area, working out of both our offices and those of our partners.

We are looking for people who have a background in business, or have experience in delivering business advice and support.

The advisor team is central to the delivery of the AD:VENTURE programme, the main point of contact for new and growing businesses, and as an advisor you would need to have a passion for supporting people and business and seeing them grow.

Delivering support and guidance to pre-start and start-up businesses up to 36 months old, who will have strong growth potential with opportunities for job creation, advisors will be allocated a specific geographic area in order to capitalise on local expertise and knowledge, as well as building up strong local networks which are essential to supporting the business community.

Experience of working with growth start-up businesses would be an advantage along with a strong emphasis on support with business planning and financials, in addition to strategic planning. Advisers will assist the beneficiary businesses in accessing various aspects of the programme including a series of workshops.

In addition to having a sound knowledge of other business support solutions/programmes available both nationally and across the Leeds City Region, the ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills to aid effective communication with clients and stakeholders and be expected to work to a high level to meet the programmes compliance requirements.
