ABOUT THE COMPANY
Wish Digital launched in 2014 to provide clients with a professional digital marketing agency they could rely on. Founded by Chris Kell and Wilf Geldart, the business had ambitious targets with plans to expand the portfolio of clients the agency worked with, increase its team and move to larger premises to support its growth.
Based in Wetherby, Wish was soon looking into an office move and conveniently found space in the Granary Building just down the road from its current location.
Although the agency was winning work, the focus on the office move was a big distraction and the Directors were aware of the need to carefully manage cash-flow as they considered all of the costs that would be incurred.
The challenge was having the investment necessary to furnish the offices, purchase new equipment and upgrade the software the agency would need as it worked on increasingly larger contracts and demanding accounts.
It was at this point that Chris decided after a conversation with a friend to look at the business support services that were available to start-up and young organisations based throughout the Leeds City Region. Following an internet search, he came across AD:VENTURE and sent in an enquiry form, which resulted in a call with a Business Advisor.
Finding that match-funded grant support was available, the business went through the process with the support of Craig Atkin from the programme and secured more than £7,000 that would be used to turn their plans into a reality.
Fast forward just twelve months and Wish Digital has completed its office move, furnished the space, invested in new equipment and expanded its team to include two new digital marketers, a web developer and a designer. Furthermore, it has increased its turnover by a whopping 60%.
Working with clients including Capita Customer Management, the company has big ambitions for the year ahead and thanks to AD:VENTURE and the support the programme offered, it is able to welcome customers and showcase its work in an environment that is befitting of a leading digital business.
