An informal chat about business support, learn how AD:VENTURE can help you build your business at our Huddersfield Business Week event

About this event

Have you started a business or thinking about it in the future?

Heard about AD:VENTURE but not sure what it is and how it can help?

Wonder no more! Take a break and come and join us for an informal natter about business support and learn how AD:VENTURE can help you build your business at our upcoming Huddersfield Business Week event.

You’ll meet Sarah Riley, our brilliant business adviser dedicated to the Huddersfield and Kirklees area and Daneile Moore our communications manager, who will tell you all about the huge range of support we can give you and your start up.

We also know there is nothing better than hearing from people in your own position, so we’ve also invited the founders of some standout start-ups from Huddersfield to join us.

Mark Noblett began his career as a chef, while training others to cook, he discovered a passion for teaching. He became a primary teacher, then a Headteacher. Mark launched his own business, Mark Noblett Education Lt in 2019 after working in leadership, training and coaching for over a decade. His organisation works with a broad range of clients, from corporate leaders to entrepreneurs. Offering support in change & transition, resilience, team dynamics, confidence, decision making and emotionally intelligent leadership.

Emma Bentley founded Something Good, a vegan expedition food brand in 2021. Her business mission is to ‘create a mealtime to look forward to after a day in the wilderness, with a minimal environmental footprint. The business uses plant based, natural ingredients to make real, delicious food and then dehydrate it so it’s lightweight and packable. To help you do something good, eat something good and be something good. Because small moments and acts of goodness can add up to something great.

They’ll share their experience with you, looking at what went well, and also not so well in their recent start up journey. They’ll also share how the assistance from AD:VENTURE played a role in their growth journey.

What our clients say!

“Since starting the business we’ve always believed it’s really important to listen to what other people are saying to us. We have a vision for where we want the business to go but we don’t necessarily have a clear idea of how we can get there.

“AD:VENTURE are always pointing us in the direction of schemes we can join and grants we can apply for. To anyone who’s looking for business support, I’d say be willing to engage with people who have advice and expertise, look at all the opportunities available to you through the programme and take advantage of them.”
