LEGAL KICK-START: NEGOTIATING COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS – KEY CONSIDERATIONS FOR NON-LAWYERS – Online Zoom
Legal requirements can seem daunting when you make that decision to start-up. This is true for many, but, the fact is to operate legally and to protect your business interests, they can’t be avoided.
The good news is, “the legals” are far easier to manage if you understand your obligations sooner rather than later.
If you take the time to understand the basics at the outset, it’s really not as scary as it seems and you can make informed decisions on what the right approach is for you and your business.
Led by legal specialists from Knights plc (a leading UK legal & professional services business), this free “bite-sized” 90 minute seminar, to be delivered via Zoom, will give you an overview of the common legal pitfalls and issues which arise during contract negotiations, and advice on how to avoid them.
• The importance of understanding the identity of your counterparty;
• Safeguards to put in place during negotiations;
• Basic contract law principles to bear in mind whilst negotiating a contract;
• Common pitfalls in contract negotiations; and
• Key legal terms to watch out for in a contract.
