Liz Cable – Area of expertise: Social Media
Liz Cable is a strategic social business consultant and senior lecturer in Digital and Social Media at Leeds Trinity University. Liz has been teaching social media since the launch of Twitter in 2006. She will help you solve your social media queries.

Mark Sebright – Area of expertise: Marketing
Mark is a qualified marketing consultant with over 25 years’ experience. He runs his own marketing agency and is a lecturer in marketing at Leeds Trinity University.

Darren Harper – Area of expertise: Podcasting
Darren Harper is an experienced broadcaster with over 20 years’ experience, both here and in Australia. He presented a commercial radio breakfast show in Leeds for 10 years and is now the co-host of the LS11 Podcast. He is a lecturer in journalism at Leeds Trinity University.

Andy Gilliland – Area of expertise: Finance
Andy is an expert in Business finance and accounting, with a special interest in Top and Bottom-line growth, business development, new business finance and business incubation. Andy is a senior lecturer in Business at Leeds Trinity University.

Francis Dignan – Area of expertise: Legal
Francis is a senior lecturer in law at Leeds Trinity University and a Practising Barrister, Member, Chambers of Michael Mansfield QC (London). He is formerly: Director, Legal Advice Centre, University of Hull Law School.
Kris Keighley – Area of expertise: General Business Advice and Grant Eligibility
Business Adviser for Ad:Venture Leeds & Bradford: Providing general start up advice to pre-start and young businesses as well as routes to finance and grant eligibility.
Nikki Massen – Area of expertise: Public Relations
Nicky is an experienced public relations practitioner who started her career as a local newspaper reporter before moving to PR agencies and in-house PR teams for companies including Tetley’s Brewery, Carlsberg UK and Leeds Media. She has also worked for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Cancer Research UK and Leeds Mencap. Nicky is currently in the process of setting up her own business, “It’s The Beer Talking”, and works as a freelance public relations consultant in Leeds.
As well as having the opportunity to meet our experts and network, we will also be joined by two entrepreneurs: Mark Costello from Horsforth Brewery and Tim Rooke from Open Gift Card, they will discuss their business journey and what it takes to be successful and the difficulties to be addressed on the way.

• Wherever possible, please ensure windows and doors remain open to allow a supply of fresh air and ventilation.
• Other measures are also in place, such as screens in reception areas, between some desks and within lecture theatres. Please utilise these when in these areas and refrain from moving these or any other furniture wherever possible.

If you are a business up to three years old with a desire to grow and develop, you could be eligible for further support through the Ad:Venture programme – including access to free workshops and funding. A number of places are available for non-eligible Ad:Venture businesses.

You will be asked a few questions to check eligibility, and you will be encouraged to book a slot for a specific expert. When booking, please specify the nature of your question and your preferred time slot. All of our experts are available from 4.00-7.00pm with 20-minute allocated appointments i.e., 5.00 pm, 5.25 pm, 5.50 pm, 6.15 pm and 6.40pm.We will contact you to confirm your attendance. If we can’t secure your chosen slot, we will offer you something else if there is still availability. If you book a slot but are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your slot to another business.
