10.00-10.30 Networking opportunity
The University Business Centre in Halifax with funding from the Adventure Project Invites business working in the Digital sector in Calderdale to join us for a series of monthly breakfast events. These events aim to provide a place for businesses to gain new knowledge and skills and network with other people working in the sector.
Our fourth breakfast seminar will focus on harnessing the power of finance systems in the cloud to support business growth. Martin Mellor from Mellor Finance will provide information and best practice on developing and maintaining such systems and practices.
In this session
10 years ago businesses had limited options when it came to getting accurate, timely & meaningful data to help them make decisions – most common were either excel spreadsheets or Sage loaded on a terminal with CD backups and needing specialist knowledge to use it – both of which could be extremely time consuming and complex to manage with significant potential for error.
Cloud accounting is revolutionising the systems and data that are available to SME businesses that allows multiple users real time access from mobile devices along with any number of connected apps to customise the outputs for each business, saving time and reducing error rates whilst enabling better decision making.
In this session Martin will introduce and explore many of the options that are available, explaining key features and demonstrate just how powerful the results can be.
